Information of Zhangjiajie

The city of Zhangjiajie lies in the northwest of Hunan Province. It governs Yongding District, Wulingyuan District, Cili County and Sangzhi County . It covers an area of 9516 square km with a population of 1538 ,000,69%of which are the minority ethnic groups ,such as the Tujias ,the Bais and the Miaos. The city of Zhangjiajie has a kind of subtropic mountainous monsoon climate.

    The scenic area of Zhangjiajie covers 400 square kilometers. There are about 3000 rocky peaks and 800 streams .With the peaks ,caves, woods, all over the world with its unique charm of wildness ,mysteriousness , strangeness and beauty.

Information of Wulingyuan

   Wulingyuan, Chinese major scenic spot, the world-famous natural legacy, lies in the Wuling Mountain range in the northwest of Hunan Province, including Zhangjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, Suoxi Valley and Yangjiajie with the total area of 400square Kilometers.

    Wulingyuan was discovered in 1979.ln the short 20years;it has received almost 20, 000,000 tourists from home and abroad. All the tourists are amazed at its incredible wild beauty. The rare landform of quartz sand and rocky mountain has earned it countless fames .Likewise the underground karst feature of Wulingyuan is also extraordinary.Moreover,92% of the scenic is covered by woods ,with many rare trees such as dove tree. gingko, Wuling pine, etc.

    Besides these, there are many rare wild animals, including clouded leopard , macaque ,giant salamander ,pangolin ,and tragopan with redbelly ,etc.
the antique and single style of Wulingyuan pious the streams, peaks, the setting sun and the cooking smoke curling upward may bring you back to the worry-free nature.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Zhangjiajie, or Qingyan Mountain, is the first national forest park in China with an area of more than 130 square kilometers.

    Zhangjiajie is featured by strangeness, secludedness and beauty with its rock, water and forests. Zhangjiajie is a rocky mountain with thousands of various peaks.

     As to water, the mountain stream and undercurrent converge into Pipa Stream, Golden whip Stream, Kuangdong Stream; four baisha springs, and two flying waterfalls, 97.7%of Zhangjiajie area is covered by trees. There are complete primitive secondary forests here, reserving many ancient precious trees as well as animals. lt is a natural zoological and botanical garden.

Suoxiyu Scenic Zone

The topography of Suoxiyu Scenic Zone share the same feature with Zhangjiajie and Tianzishan. However, it is unique by itself in some aspects. lts area is 147 square Kilometers .And there are over 200 sight-seeing spots.

    Suoxiyu is a combination of peaks, streams and caves. Also it abounds in wild animals such as leopardes, giant salamander, pangolin, etc. What deserves. There're more than 1000 of them. As for plants, there are up to 679kinds of trees, among which 19are proteted by the state.

Tianzishan scenic Zone

 The area of Tianzishan Scenic Zone is65 square kilometers. The major peak is 1256 meters high.

    In this zone, there is one overline bridge, two heavenly ponds, three ancient temples , four heavily gates , five spilling springs , six cave-dwellings, over eighty sight-seeing stands aloft and scores of flying waterfalls . With its charm of combined secludedness, wildness, mysteriousness, strangeness and beauty,  it attracts tourists all over the world by showing its glamour at different seasons and moments.

    Because Tianzi Mountain is the peak of Wulingyuan, tourists may enjoy the scenery by looking around.Not only are the rocky mountains extraordinary, but the various clouds such as cloud fog, cloud sea, cloud waves, cloud waterfalls are relaxing and joyful

Tianmenshan National Forest Park

Tianmenshan lies to the south of Zhangjiajie and it's only 10 kilometers away from the town .80% of it is covered with the forest, including the rare trees protected by the state such as dove tree, fragrant fruit, Chinese tulip tree, etc .

    Not only is Tianmenshan unique in natural scenery but it's rich in human spectacle. The artists and poets have gathered here since ancient times. Among the picturesque scenery 32 scenic spots stand out which are called 16 peaks & 16 caves. What is the most remarkable is the Tianmen Cave which, by name, means the Gate of the Heaven. It is 131.5 meters high, 37 meters wide, and over 30 meters deep. Small planes can fly through it.

Tianzishan scenic Zone

The area of Tianzishan Scenic Zone is65square kilometers. The major peak is 1256 meters high.

Maoyan River

 Maoyan River is 50 kilometers long, from Hujia Slope to Huayan Hydropower Station. It is called "Painted Corridor of 100 1i". Tourists may sit in the rubber boats and drift downstream.

     When there are torrents, tourists may experience unprecedented excitement and horror ;when the water is peaceful, they may enjoy the picturesque scenery along the river.

    The major scenic spots in this zone include: Xuemen Gully, Dongzi Lane ,Maoyan Beach, Tanhou Cave , Wen Pond ,Mayang River ,Ancient Ferry, Jia'er Gully, Yanhe Valley, etc.
